This was conveyed by Ida Fauziah recently while giving a speech and briefing at the LSP coordination meeting in Jakarta. the importance of work competency certification as a means of increasing the competitiveness of workers in Indonesia so that they are able to compete with foreign workers who enter Indonesia. Together with the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), the Ministry of Manpower is targeting work competency certification issued by a professional certification agency (LSP) so that obtain international competency recognition.
"So I remind you once again not to play with the certification process because this will determine the competitiveness of our workforce in the global market. If you look at the data on the development of licensed LSPs up to 2020, there are 1,711 LSPs, both LSP P3, LSP P2 and LSP P1. "Said Ida Fauziah.
Ida Fauziah also stated that BNSP has a very important role in the process of recognizing workforce competence which is an important element in preparing a competent workforce nationally.
"BNSP and stakeholders must be able to respond quickly to any developments in the industrial world," said Mrs. Ida Fauziah.
In accordance with government regulation number 10 of 2018 concerning the national body for professional certification, BNSP has the main task of implementing the certification system that is already running in Indonesia at this time, and the assessor assesses that it still has many challenges for BNSP and LSP members.
"It must continue to do improvement, harmonization, development of a certification system and recognition of competencies as performance targets for the future. Especially for the recognition of international competencies which must be our common target," added Mrs. Ida.
Ida Fauziah also emphasized that organizing the competency certification process is a big job and not a trivial thing. He also considered that LSP is the spearhead in carrying out the workforce competency certification.
"For this reason, the high integrity of licensed LSPs provided by the government through BNSP must be maintained and competent statements given to workers are the big responsibility of LSP and BNSP," continued Ida Fauziah.
For this reason, he hopes that all BNSP stakeholders can properly maintain the trust given by the government through BNSP so that they can create highly competitive human resources with the certification they provide, so that they can compete with foreign workers who enter Indonesia.
